Tiny Shadow Box

Hello friends

Thank you so much for the lovely response to my prickly card yesterday,
Michele asked whether it could be a charity kit and that may just happen.

Today's card features Tiny Shadow Box.

Everything is included in this die set to create the box, outer frame
and embellish with the tag and tiny flowers.

I chose to use the shadow box on a card front and went a little
mad with those flowers!

Inside the shadow box is a stamped sentiment onto Scored and Pierced Rectangles.

The little flower dies are lovely, I think these could be my go-to
flowers for a while.

A little leaf charm sneaked in too, from the first Hope and Charm-ing collections,
look out for the next one, coming the beginning of next month.
I would link you to them but they've all sold out, they are super popular.

And check this out, my good friend and fellow Ambassador, Linda Lucas
has used the Tiny Shadow Box with a cute succulent inside.

Full details and tutorial on her blog here.

If you fancy a Tiny Shadow Box they are available on the website here.

Take care friends, I'm in a die cutting frenzy right now getting make and takes
organised for this Saturday at Mountain Ash Crafts,
I'll share more info about that soon.

Have a great Tuesday and stop by tomorrow for giveaway day!

Prickly Things...

Hello friends

Today's card is very different, it's a project I created for
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L using their photo corners.
I have to give my Mum credit for saying 'hedgehog' when I was
trying to think of spiky items.
I'm really pleased with how she turned out, yes it's a girl hedgehog.

I've also used Hemstitch Squares which are now back in stock here.
I typed the quote/sentiment and printed it onto ivory card.
The quote really did come after a bit of a tiresome couple of days so felt very apt!

The full blog post tutorial on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog here
and if you have time I would love for you to leave a comment over there,
it really helps.

If you fancy making anything spiky Photo Corners are available here.

Take care friends, wishing you a great week with no prickly things!

It's a Royal Wedding!

Hello friends

Well, I couldn't let a special day like today go by without a
wedding card!
I chose to create something quite elaborate (especially for me!) using
Grand Arch 3D Card - one of the 3D Vignette dies - thankfully these
dies are now in stock!
I selected ivory card with a printed script paper at the back.
To assemble these designs they are far easier than you would imagine.
Just use a good narrow double sided tape,
Becca has a You Tube video showing how - see below.

I also used Happily Ever After as an insert which coordinates with
Grand Cabinet but equally works well with this design.

Added tiny flowers, coloured with distress ink, swirl of ribbon
and spot the Union Jack?

And oh yes, a fair few pearls!

Becca's YouTube tutorial on assembling 3D cards.

Items used with clickable links - in stock but selling fast!

All of Becca's designs can be found here,

Today and tomorrow I'm at Create-It in Detling, Maidstone -
just up the road from me.
Hope you are going and if so, please stop and say hello,
I'll be on That Craft Place stand.

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day features Top Floral Panel.
This is one of the Blooming Garden dies designed by Marisa Job.
The approximate size is 5.10 x 2.40 in 12.90 x 6.00 cm
For my card, I cut two and inked lightly with distress inks.

I then cut the largest Fancy Edged Rectangle
and positioned this over the two Top Floral Panels.
Affix in place and trim so you are left with a frame.

Onto an ivory card front I matted burgundy card and patterned paper.

I then die cut Blooming Rose, coloured with distress inks.
I'm so enjoying making flowers at the moment, very relaxing.

Shaping the roses.

Place your Top Floral Panel frame onto the card front and add the roses,
leaves and twine.
The finished card, oh yes a little stamped tag too.

There's also a little video featuring this card on both Instagram and Facebook,
really is little - lasts one minute, now that is speed crafting!
You can view the video here.

Items used today with clickable links:

This weekend I will be at Detling in Maidstone at the Create-It Show.
I'm going to be demoing Spellbinders on That Craft Place stand
so if you are visiting please stop by for a natter.

Take care friends and wishing you a lovely weekend,
are you celebrating the Royal Wedding?
Please stop by tomorrow, I've made a little wedding card...

It's a box...but not as we know it!

Hello friends

Monday again!
Yesterday was video day and as I had received quite a few requests
for a tutorial on assembling the Swirl Hexagon Petal Box
that was my filming project.
Designed by Marisa Job there's a lot of die pieces in this set,
I do like the little extras with flowers and leaves.

The box can be made in a variety of ways, with or without the panel insets,
upturned as a basket, the base splayed out as a flower and more.

Here's my video and also available to view on You Tube
if you prefer a full screen.
Mitchell is in charge of nearly all the photography now
and I mentioned that using props would be nice,
here was his answer...

We do love Darcy our one eyed cat but she wasn't quite
what I meant!

Swirl Hexagon Petal Box is available on the website here
and's just dropped into the Spring sale!

Wishing you all a great start to the week, the sun is shining.
Elliott and I are hopping on a train to London at lunchtime
as he has an MRI appointment this afternoon.
Mitchell will be working on his photography props...!

Take care friends.

Hello friends

How is your weekend going?
What's this rain we are having?? We got lulled into thinking it was
Summer and bang...the heavens opened.
The plants love it, my garden turned into a mini jungle overnight.

On the craft side..shiny and simple today and
a card I completely forgot that I had made!
one of the Flower Garden Collection dies by Marisa Job.

I simply used black stock and added gold gilding polish.
There is something very satisfying about applying the polish
and making regular card look metallic.

A stamped and embossed sentiment to the middle.

I chose to leave some of the black card showing through to create
a vintage/aged look.

So simple, so speedy, so shiny!

The same die looks very different in this project I made a while ago.
Purely cut from white cardstock and coloured with distress inks,
it's very green isn't it!

Dimensional Floral Panel has now been placed in the sale too,
dies are always nicer when they are bargains!
You can view the details here.

Take care friends, I'm shooting videos today - anything could happen
with two geeky sons on camera!
