Best laid plans and all that...

Hello friends

Happy Monday to you and how was your weekend?

So when I said I was going to Milton Keynes for a crafty day
yesterday...umm that didn't happen.
Instead it was 9 hours in Accident and Emergency with Elliott.
Elliott came down with a cold last week, just a cold
but it seems his body deals with viruses very differently and
it totally drained him.  He was admitted into hospital, wired up,
popped on a drip, given a chemist full of drugs and then allowed home last night..
Hospitals also like to take a zillion scans of his brain,
we have to joke and say it is the most photographed brain ever!
But goodness, I had my worry face on for many many hours.
Also his cat missed him, howled the house down for a while
but here they are reunited.

So today's crafty offering is a speedy card,
my idea of crafting for hours was reduced to about 30 minutes.
I can therefore absolutely guarantee this is a speedy card to make.
It features Kurbits 2, one of the Lene Lok designs.

I die cut the shape from white card and inked various areas with distress inks.

A double mat of kraft and red card.

Stamped sentiment and two enamel dots - finished in half an hour.

Kurbis 2 is available to pre-order on the website here.
The Folk Art collection is a very distinctive die collection
inspired by Lene's Norwegian background.

Take care friends, I should be back on track after a bit of a
crafting marathon today.

Hi Christine,
I'm so pleased Elliott is home and safe now, I did see your FB post yesterday, thank goodness you hadn't left for Milton Keynes. It's Strange how animals can sense when something is wrong too.
Love the speedy card.
I hope you have a good week without any more trauma.

So sorry to hear about Elliott, and pleased/relieved that all is well. It's reassuring to know that Darenth Valley came up trumps. I'm assuming that's where he went? Keep smiling. Xx

Hi Christine sorry to hear about Elliott, hope he is on the mend now. You shouldn't have worried about doing a card for us all, we fully understand when one of your family becomes ill, they come first and it must have been worrying for you at hospital seeing your son all wired up. Your card is lovely too, thanks for thinking of us, take care and love to Elliott's xx

Hi Christine, Best laid plans indeed ...... I'm so glad everything turned out well in the end for Elliott and yourself, it must have been really traumatic for both of you, and also Elliott's kitty. A lovely piccie of the reunion, and I'm loving how his kitty is looking so lovingly at Elliott, they are so intelligent cats, aren't they.
A lovely card. I hope that you can have your catch-up with friends another day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Christine
I'm glad to hear that Elliot is once again safely back at home. I bet you were glad you hadn't left for Milton Keynes. Fingers crossed the cocktail of drugs have done the trick. Great card by the way.
