Tuesday Tip/Technique

Hello friends

Today is TTT and I bring you....dipping!
For those of you who own micro beads this is great but you can also use glitter, embossing powders,
sequins....it's all about achieving a different look with your die cuts.
I've chosen Rose Creations and using E-Z Dots adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
I've applied a little adhesive just to the edges of the petals.
With tweezers I held the die cut flower and dipped it into the pot of micro beads.
This works well when using this adhesive, bit messy with liquid glue!
 A bead encrusted flower.
I made two and used them on this scrapbook page featuring my niece Rachel.
Grand Labels Four and Foliage are also on this page and a tag!
The flowers pick up the light and you get that extra bit of dimension.
Try it with butterflies, just tip their wings in glitter or poinsettias as it is Christmas!

Yesterday Hazel asked what size cone I used to make the Christmas tree,
it measures approximately 12 inches, I wanted it to look full hence 72 flowers but you can
always make less and fill the space with baubles, gemstones etc.

Take care friends.

A great tip Christine, and lovely scrapbook page. I didn't get time to pop into your blog yesterday but your cone tree is great, you could do many variations with different flowers or Christmas themes. Hope you had a nice time with Cathy and her husband yesterday.

Hi Christine
I miss read the start of your blog and thought it said DRIPPING! I wondered if you were giving cooking tips now! Need to get my eyes tested.
I have now read it properly and what a great idea which I must try with my poinsettia die. It would look great dipped in gold glitter.
Thanks for the tip.
Take care
Lesley
